Types of payment links

Zavo supports two types of payment links:

One-time payment links

  • Used for a single payment

  • Can include a fixed amount

  • Have an expiry date (up to 30 days)

  • Automatically expire after payment

  • Cannot be reused once paid or expired

Static payment links

  • Do not expire

  • Allow customers to enter a custom amount

  • Can be shared with multiple customers

  • Only available on desktop

πŸ“Œ Static payment links are covered in a separate guide.

Creating a one-time payment link

On desktop (dashboard)

  1. Go to dashboard.zavopay.com

  2. Select Payment links from the left navigation menu

  3. Click Create payment link

A popup will open where you can enter:

  • Product or service name

  • Amount

  • Quantity

  • Tax rate (No tax, 5%, or 20%)

  • Optional customer details:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Description

    • Expiry date (up to 30 days)

Each item will appear as an invoice line on the payment link.

Click Create to generate the payment link.

On mobile

  1. Open the Zavo mobile app

  2. Tap Account in the bottom navigation

  3. Select Payment links

The steps to create a payment link are the same as on desktop.

Payment link status

After creation, payment links are grouped into three tabs:

  • Pending – Link created but not yet paid

  • Paid – Payment completed

  • Expired – Link expired before payment

Once a one-time payment link is paid, it is automatically disabled.

Where payments appear

Payments made through payment links:

  • Appear in your Transactions list

  • Appear in the paid list inside the payment links tab

  • Are settled through your normal payout flow
