📘 Zavo Pro Terminal User Manual

Everything you need to get started with your Zavo Pro payment terminal

✅ Assigning your Zavo Pro terminal

To link your new terminal to your Zavo account, just follow these quick steps:

  1. Download the Zavo mobile app on iPhone or Android

  2. Tap “Manage Your Terminals”

  3. Select “Set Up New Terminal”

  4. Enter the terminal serial number (found in the terminal’s settings under Device Info)

  5. Tap “Register Terminal”

  6. Restart the terminal

Once restarted, your terminal will be assigned and ready to accept payments.

    • Zavo Pro Standard: standard version

    • Zavo Pro L: includes barcode scanning camera

  • USB-C charging cable and region-specific power adapter

  • Pre-installed eSIM

  • Receipt paper roll

🚀 Getting Started

Follow these steps to get your Zavo Pro up and running:

  1. Inspect the terminal

  2. Insert the receipt paper roll

  3. Charge and power on the device

  4. Select your language

  5. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile network

Once these steps are complete, you're ready to start accepting payments.


✅ Step-by-Step Setup

1. Inspect the Terminal

Before using your terminal:

  • Ensure the shipping box is sealed and undamaged

  • Match the serial number (S/N) on the box with the one shown on your Zavo Dashboard

  • Open the box and inspect the device for tampering (e.g., missing screws, foreign labels, extra wires)

🚨 If anything appears suspicious, contact Zavo Support immediately.


2. Insert the Receipt Paper Roll

  1. Lift the cover of the receipt compartment

  2. Insert the roll with the paper feeding from the bottom

  3. Leave a small strip of paper sticking out

  4. Close the cover


3. Power On & Charge the Terminal

  • To turn on: Press and hold the power button until the screen lights up

  • To turn off: Hold the power button and confirm shutdown

  • Allow at least 4 hours of charging during initial setup

🔋 The battery icon at the top shows the charge level.


4. Select Your Language

Choose your preferred language from the Welcome screen.


5. Connect to a Network

Wi-Fi Setup:

  1. Tap the arrow after selecting your language

  2. Select + Add Network

  3. Enable WLAN

  4. Choose or manually enter your network (SSID)

  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password and connect

  6. You’ll see a Wi-Fi icon at the top once connected

Cellular Backup:

  • All Zavo Pro devices come with a pre-installed eSIM

  • If Wi-Fi is unavailable, your device will automatically switch to 4G

  • For older devices that do not connect via cellular, contact Zavo Support


⚙ Terminal Menus & Settings

You can access these from the Settings menu:

🔐 Some menu items require an admin passcode.


🔑 Admin Passcodes

To access restricted settings such as Network, Apps, and Configuration, you’ll need an admin or transactions passcode.

You can find your terminal passcodes by:

  1. Logging into your Zavo Dashboard or mobile app

  2. Navigating to Settings

  3. Selecting Terminal Passcodes


💳 Accepting Payments

The Zavo Pro can operate in standalone mode, meaning you don’t need a separate POS system.

To accept a payment:

  1. Tap Payment

  2. Insert, tap, or swipe the customer’s card

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

  4. Print or skip the receipt as needed


🛠 Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble:

  • Start with the Diagnostics section in the Settings menu

  • Use on-screen troubleshooting guides

🔋 Battery Care Tips

To extend battery life:

  • Store in a cool, dry place

  • Avoid storing fully charged or completely discharged devices

  • Ideal battery level for storage: 40–70%

  • Inspect for leaks or swelling every 6 months

  • Do not ship faulty batteries — dispose of them according to local regulations


🧾 View & Reset Totals

To access and manage daily totals:

  1. Go to Transactions > Totals

  2. Enter your Transactions passcode

  3. View, print, or reset the report

  4. To enable automatic resets (e.g. daily at midnight), contact Zavo Support
