Onboarding to Zavo

Zavo is not a self-service platform. To open an account, you must first speak with a Zavo sales agent or an approved partner. They will confirm your pricing, setup, and send you an onboarding invitation.

Step 1: Receive your onboarding invite

Once your pricing and setup are confirmed, our team will send you an onboarding link.

From the onboarding link:

  1. Enter your first name, last name, email, and password

  2. Submit the form

  3. You will be taken directly into the Zavo dashboard


Step 2: Start account verification

After logging in, you must complete account verification to comply with local regulations.

  • A blue banner will appear saying “We need some extra information from your account”

  • Click the Verify button to begin


Step 3: Choose your business type

First, tell us how your business is registered:

  • Sole trader – individual account

  • Company – registered limited company (LTD)

You will then be asked to enter:

  • Registered business name

  • Country

  • Industry


Step 4: Enter business details

Next, provide your business details:

  • Business address

    • Start typing and select from the dropdown

  • Phone number

  • Statement descriptor

    • This is the name your customers see on their card statement

Important
The statement descriptor must clearly identify your business.


Step 5: External verification with Adyen

You will now be redirected to our banking partner Adyen for external verification.

Click Verify now to continue.


Step 6: Select your business setup (Adyen)

On the Adyen onboarding page, choose your business structure:

  1. Sole proprietorship

  2. Company

  3. Partnership or association


Step 7: Provide business information

You will be asked to provide:

Business details

  • Country or region of establishment

  • Legal business name (incorporation name)

  • Company structure:

    • Private company

    • Public company

    • Non-profit organisation

    • Government organisation

You may also be asked for:

  • Trading / DBA name (if applicable)

  • Company registration number

  • VAT registration number (if applicable)

  • Registered business address

  • Principal place of business


Step 8: Add decision makers and owners

You must provide details for the people involved in your business. One person may hold multiple roles.

Required roles

  • Owners

    • Anyone holding 25% or more of the business

  • Controlling persons

    • Required if no owner holds 25% or more

  • Signatory

    • At least one required

  • Director

    • At least one required


Step 9: Add and verify your bank account

Provide your bank account details for payouts.

You can verify your bank account using:

  • Open Banking (recommended – instant verification)

  • Bank statement upload (can take up to 48 hours)

We recommend Open Banking for the fastest approval.


Step 10: Accept agreements

Finally, you will be asked to:

  • Sign the PCI agreement

  • Sign the Services agreement

Once completed, your account will be submitted for activation.


Account activation

  • Most accounts are opened instantly

  • In some cases, additional reviews may be required

  • Additional reviews can take up to 24 hours

Over 90% of accounts are approved without delay.
